The Dwarf ‘Jamaican Red’ Banana is very well suited to growing and fruiting here in Southern California. It is a very attractive plant with red and green leaves. The fruit quality is high and is also visually appealing. Being that this is a dwarf variety, usually the fruit can be harvested without the use of a ladder and the plant is much easier to shield from damaging strong winds.
